Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager
**Our company**

At Teradata, we believe that people thrive when empowered with better information. Teradata Autonomous Knowledge Platform activates enterprise intelligence by unifying data, knowledge and business context to achieve tangible outcomes. With Teradata, organizations can provide agents with full context for impact when it matters. Our solution lets businesses connect and scale on premises, in the cloud, or through a hybrid approach. Teradata delivers real business value with AI.

**What You'll Do**

The Strategic Sourcing Manager builds strong relationships with internal and external partners to support the development and execution of enterprise-wide sourcing strategies that deliver value and create measurable, meaningful impact on Teradata's success. Your mission will be to lead complex, high visibility engagements across all global business functions and technology spend categories to enable Procurement to deliver on savings and partnership commitments with scale and agility.

To be successful in this role, you will combine strategic thinking, strong contracting and negotiation skills, market intelligence, and clear executive-level communication to serve as a trusted advisor to business partners. A distinctive element of this role is leading OEM negotiations - agreements where third-party technology is embedded directly into Teradata's product - requiring a deep understanding of licensing structures, product integration requirements, and the commercial and legal complexities unique to OEM arrangements. You will use data, supplier insights, AI, and emerging tools to solve problems, improve processes, manage risk, and help the business make faster, better decisions. This high-visibility role works with senior leaders, up to the Executive Leadership Team, and strategic suppliers. The successful candidate will bring a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset, and help the team deliver best-in-class, measurable value while enabling the business and protecting Teradata.

The Responsibilities of this Role are:

+ Lead strategic sourcing activities across technology spend categories, including stakeholder management, category strategy, sourcing, negotiations, spend analysis, market intelligence, supplier relationship management, and supplier innovation.

+ Lead OEM negotiations for third-party technology embedded into Teradata's product, navigating the unique commercial, licensing, and contractual structures these deals require - including royalty models, distribution rights, integration terms, and product-level risk considerations.

+ Work flexibly across categories where support is needed, bringing expertise, collaboration, and a team-first mindset to solve problems and achieve strong results.

+ Use market intelligence, benchmarking, supplier insights, and business priorities to act as a trusted advisor and shape actionable category plans.

+ Create and execute global, multi-year category strategies that align business needs, market trends, supplier capabilities, risk mitigation, and cost-reduction opportunities.

+ Improve sourcing processes using AI, automation, analytics, and tools to increase efficiency, strengthen policy adherence, and improve the user experience.

+ Analyze spend, market, supplier, and business data to identify risks, opportunities, savings, and insights that guide sourcing strategy.

+ Communicate supplier risks, trade-offs, recommendations, and sourcing decisions clearly to stakeholders and senior leaders.

+ Lead complex RFx processes and sourcing events for high-value or strategic categories, managing timelines, supplier communications, stakeholder alignment, and executive recommendations.

+ Lead and support complex global negotiations, including sole source, incumbent, OEM, engineering, product, technology, and partnership deals, in partnership with Business, Legal, Risk, Data Privacy, Information Security, and suppliers.

+ Track category performance, savings, reporting accuracy, and data integrity; establish data quality standards and drive follow-through on results.

+ Manage strategic supplier relationships, anticipate and manage supplier or internal partner issues, and introduce supplier solutions that improve category performance.

+ Build influence across Sourcing, business partners, and stakeholder organizations while advancing SRM initiatives and execution priorities.

+ Mentor team members, share sourcing best practices, model accountability, and foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

+ Deliver sustainable year-over-year value while enabling the business, protecting Teradata, and advancing best-in-class sourcing outcomes.

**Who You'll Work With**

You will join a global Strategic Sourcing team supporting indirect procurement categories across Teradata. You will report to the Head of Strategic Sourcing and partner with senior leaders across IT, Product, Infosec, Customer Support, Go To Market, and Corporate Services.
