**The Role**
This is an exciting opportunity to join Oracle's North America Demand Services team as a **Strategic Events Manager (IC4).**
In this role, you will develop event strategies and lead the design and execution of Oracle-led and third-party marketing programs that support North America's demand generation priorities. You'll create engaging customer experiences by bringing together Field Marketing, Sales, Global Marketing, Partner Marketing, strategic partners, and external vendors to deliver high-impact events that strengthen customer relationships and drive business growth.
Success in this role requires a strategic marketer who thrives in a highly matrixed environment, translating business objectives into compelling event experiences while managing complex programs from concept through execution and performance measurement. You will balance strategic planning with operational excellence, ensuring every program delivers measurable business value and an exceptional customer experience.
**Qualifications**
+ **8-10+ years** of progressive experience in B2B marketing, field marketing, event marketing, experiential marketing, partner marketing, or demand generation within the technology industry.
+ Proven experience developing event strategies and executing Oracle-led, third-party, and executive-level marketing programs that drive customer engagement and pipeline growth.
+ Experience managing complex, cross-functional marketing programs from concept through execution, including onsite event leadership.
+ Demonstrated success managing event budgets, vendors, agencies, sponsorships, and external partners.
+ Experience collaborating with strategic technology partners, alliance organizations, or channel marketing teams to deliver integrated marketing initiatives.
+ Strong understanding of demand generation, account-based marketing, field marketing, customer engagement strategies, and go-to-market planning.
+ Proven ability to influence and collaborate across highly matrixed organizations without direct authority.
+ Excellent project and program management skills with the ability to manage multiple high-visibility initiatives simultaneously.
+ Strong analytical skills with experience measuring marketing performance through pipeline, engagement, ROI, and other business metrics.
+ Outstanding communication, presentation, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
+ Self-starter with strong critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
+ Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience planning large-scale enterprise technology events, executive programs, or industry conferences.
+ Familiarity with Oracle's portfolio, cloud technologies, and partner ecosystem.
+ Experience working with event technologies, CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, and reporting dashboards.
+ Experience supporting integrated campaigns that combine events, digital marketing, and partner engagement.
**Travel Component**
Approximately **20-30% travel** within the United States and Canada to support Oracle-led events, third-party conferences, executive programs, and customer engagement activities.

+ Develop strategic event plans aligned with North America's business priorities, demand generation objectives, and go-to-market initiatives.
+ Design customer-centric event experiences that maximize engagement across Oracle-led events, third-party conferences, executive programs, industry sponsorships, and executive engagement opportunities.
+ Recommend innovative event formats, engagement strategies, and activation opportunities that enhance customer experience and business impact.
+ Identify opportunities to incorporate strategic technology and ecosystem partners into event experiences that create additional value for customers and Oracle.
**Event Planning & Execution**
+ Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of Oracle-led and third-party marketing events, managing all phases from strategy and planning through onsite execution and post-event analysis.
+ Manage event logistics, sponsorships, executive participation, speakers, agencies, vendors, venues, customer engagement activities, and event operations.
+ Ensure flawless execution while maintaining alignment with Oracle brand standards, marketing objectives, and regional priorities.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration**
+ Collaborate with Field Marketing, Sales, Product Marketing, Global Marketing, Partner Marketing, Alliances, and external agencies to deliver integrated marketing programs.
+ Build strong relationships across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment throughout planning, execution, and follow-up activities.
+ Serve as a trusted marketing partner, helping stakeholders align event strategies with broader business objectives.
**Program & Budget Management**
+ Manage multiple strategic event programs simultaneously while balancing timelines, budgets, resources, and competing priorities.
+ Oversee assigned event budgets and marketing investments to maximize business value, operational efficiency, and return on investment.
+ Coordinate project plans, communications, deliverables, and vendor relationships to ensure successful program delivery.
**Partner Engagement**
+ Collaborate with Oracle Partner Marketing and strategic technology partners to integrate partner participation into Oracle-led events and marketing programs.
+ Coordinate sponsorships, speaking opportunities, joint customer engagement activities, and co-marketing initiatives that support shared business objectives.
+ Foster productive relationships with partners to enhance event experiences and expand customer engagement opportunities.
**Performance Measurement & Optimization**
+ Measure program effectiveness using key performance indicators including attendance, engagement, influenced pipeline, sourced pipeline, customer feedback, and ROI.
+ Develop post-event insights and recommendations that improve future event strategy, customer experiences, and marketing performance.
+ Leverage data and analytics to identify trends and continuously optimize program outcomes.
**Operational Excellence**
+ Contribute to the continuous improvement of event planning processes, playbooks, and best practices that improve consistency, scalability, and execution across North America.
+ Maintain accurate project documentation, timelines, reporting, and operational standards.
+ Champion operational excellence by identifying efficiencies and implementing process improvements that enhance team performance.
Proven track record executing multi-faceted event programs. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to provide consultative input to senior Sales leaders. Basic understanding of business management and operations, including finance/revenue/pipeline principles. Able to engage customers in dialogue about their business needs and IT solutions. Excellent written and verbal skills, and ability to work on far-flung virtual teams. Moderate technical and strategic understanding of Technology, Applications, and Industry solutions being marketed. Attention to detail and discipline to follow established policies and processes from event design to execution to lead flow.
