**Overview**

GovCIO is currently hiring a Project Manager to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Data Modernization initiative. This role will lead, coordinate, and oversee key modernization activities, including intake optimization, workspace provisioning, surge support, and the Security Impact Analysis (SIA) process. The Project Manager will ensure timely delivery of data workspaces, enable smooth onboarding for users, and coordinate cross?functional resources to accelerate modernization milestones. This position is fully remote within the United States.

**Responsibilities**

+ Manage day?to?day activities of the VA Data Modernization effort, ensuring alignment with program goals, delivery timelines, and stakeholder expectations.

+ Coordinate intake improvements, workflow mapping, and process optimization to accelerate workspace provisioning.

+ Oversee creation and delivery of pre?configured workspaces, ensuring they meet Definition of Done requirements including toolsets, personas, and access configurations.

+ Facilitate cross?team collaboration to deliver automated data warehouse provisioning, linked services, mount points, and Databricks catalogs.

+ Lead the "single front door" experience by organizing platform information, onboarding materials, and navigation paths for end users.

+ Provide surge support by coordinating engineering teams when customers need rapid ingestion of additional data or increased provisioning capacity.

+ Provide surge support to help customers complete the Security Impact Analysis (SIA) process, ensuring documentation, coordination, and review activities remain on track.

+ Monitor progress of DevTest and Prod onboarding, ensuring users receive access within targeted timelines (1-2 days when applicable).

+ Coordinate white?glove support, Databricks SME engagement, and handoffs to Summit Customer Enablement teams.

+ Track and report on risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers that may impact provisioning or customer onboarding.

+ Maintain documentation, SOPs, and process flows related to intake, provisioning, and surge workflows.

+ Communicate regularly with stakeholders on status, next steps, delivery timelines, and action items.

**Qualifications**

**Required Skills and Experience:**

+ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field. (or commensurate experience)

+ 12+ years of experience in business analysis, project management, or a similar role.

+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

+ 2-5 years of experience working in a government environment.

+ Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi?team workflows and ensure timely execution of deliverables.

+ Strong understanding of cloud technologies, data platforms, or enterprise modernization projects.

+ Experience coordinating compliance- or security?related review cycles (e.g., Security Impact Analysis or similar).

+ Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

+ Strong problem?solving abilities and the ability to anticipate blockers in technical and operational workflows.

+ Experience leading cross?functional teams and facilitating structured intake or onboarding processes.

+ Experience in leading teams using Agile Scrum and Kanban.

**Preferred Skills and Experience:**

+ Experience with Microsoft Project, Automation, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and PowerApps

+ Preferred Certs: PMP, PMP-ACP

+ Familiarity with data platform components such as data lakes, Databricks, or cloud-based analytic environments.

+ Experience in federal, healthcare, or highly regulated data environments.

+ Experience with project management tools (Jira, ServiceNow, SharePoint).

+ Knowledge of data ingestion workflows, data governance processes, or provisioning pipelines.

+ Experience supporting customer?facing technical enablement or white?glove onboarding services.

+ Ability to obtain and maintain a suitability/Public Trust?

**Posted Salary Range**

USD $145,000.00 - USD $165,000.00 /Yr.

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.
