Windows Systems Administrator - Senior
Responsible for unique or complex information systems and/or information technology projects across more than one discipline, such as application support, database administration, software quality assurance/quality control, software engineering, network telecommunications, and infrastructure operations of administration, analysis, engineering and design. Provides direction to other IT Administrators on the project in a senior administrator capacity. Considered a technical specialist in a variety of IT administrator disciplines.

+ Manage Windows Server infrastructure (2016/2019/2022) across all environments.

+ Perform system provisioning, configuration, patching, and hardening.

+ Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP services.

+ Monitor system health, performance, and capacity.

+ Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for Windows environment.

+ Implement Windows automation using PowerShell and configuration management tools.

+ Manage Windows security compliance and STIG implementation.

+ Support application teams with Windows infrastructure and troubleshooting.

+ Maintain Windows documentation, runbooks, and configuration baselines.

+ Manage system backups, disaster recovery, and failover clustering.

**Minimum Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent relevant experience; Master's Degree preferred.

+ 8-15 years of experience in information technology, systems administration or other IT related field with 4+ years Windows Server administration experience specifically.

**Other Job Specific Skills**

+ Strong in: Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell scripting.

+ Knowledge: Automation, security hardening (STIGs), System Center, monitoring tools.

+ Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or equivalent.

Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role. Monetary compensation is one component of ASM's overall compensation and benefits package for employees.
