**Overview**
GovCIO is currently hiring for a tester role to incorporate modern tools-including automation and AI?assisted capabilities where appropriate-to enhance efficiency, quality, and the Veteran experience, while upholding security, accessibility, and responsible technology adoption. This position will be fully remote within the United States position.
**Responsibilities**
+ Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium WebDriver, or TestNG.
+ Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster feedback.
+ Develop and maintain test scripts using Java, JavaScript, or C#.
+ Design and execute test cases and automated test scenarios based on user stories and acceptance criteria.
+ Identify, document, and track defects discovered during testing.
+ Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team members to ensure application quality.
+ Perform manual and automated testing for web applications, APIs, and system integrations.
+ Use tools such as Postman or ReadyAPI for API testing.
+ Execute functional, regression, and integration tests as part of the Software Testing Life Cycle.
+ Perform basic database validation using SQL queries when needed.
+ Maintain testing artifacts and track testing activities using tools such as Jira and XRay.
+ Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and automation coverage.
**Qualifications**
Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
**Required Skills and Experience**
+ Experience in manual, integration, functional, and automated testing.
+ Experience using Jira to build or manage test plans, issues, test executions, and reports.
+ Understanding of modernized system functions, including those influenced by automation or data?driven workflows.
**Preferred Skills and Experience**
+ Extensive experience with integration and interface testing.
+ Exposure to Corporate Database, MPI, VA Profile, and existing API services in the VA network.
+ Ability to write basic Oracle scripts for testing.
+ Experience working with the VA or other Federal agencies.
+ Experience supporting remote work environments.
+ Familiarity with Agile methodologies and VA's Veteran?Focused Integration Process (VIP).
+ General awareness of responsible automation and VA modernization priorities, with openness to learning how AI?assisted tools may support testing workflows.
+ Interest in using emerging tools-potentially including AI?supported analytics-to enhance testing accuracy and efficiency.
**Clearance Required:** Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
**Posted Salary Range**
USD $85,000.00 - USD $95,000.00 /Yr.

**Posted Pay Range**
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process.
