This role is built for a data-driven SEO professional who possesses exceptional technical judgment and thrives when working with massive datasets and ambiguous problem statements. You won't just identify trends; you'll dive deep into the data to diagnose anomalies, size new opportunities, and build agentic & automated reporting systems. You will translate complex technical SEO insights into clear and actionable requirements, partnering directly with Product Managers and Engineers to ship high-impact improvements.

**Responsibilities**

+ Performance monitoring & diagnostics: Continuously monitor Indeed's organic search health. Diagnose complex shifts in rankings, traffic, crawl behavior, indexation, CTR, and downstream funnel conversions.

+ Granular data analysis: Analyze SEO performance comprehensively across a variety of dimensions, including page type, market, device, query class, and landing pages.

+ Technical optimization: Propose and document precise technical fixes for crawl waste, canonicalization, noindexing, internal linking structures, metadata, and schema.org markup.

+ Opportunity identification: Proactively identify, size, and build business cases for new content initiatives, metadata enhancements, internal linking optimizations, and advanced schema implementation.

+ Reporting & automation: Own, refine, and present weekly team performance reporting. Pioneer and manage agentic and automated SEO reporting workflows leveraging AI tooling and APIs.

+ Documentation and collaboration: Draft clear Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and collaborate productively in SEO and cross-team stand-ups to partner with PMs and engineers to ship SEO improvements.

+ Impact tracking: Establish measurement frameworks to track launched changes and conduct rigorous post-launch impact analyses to report back to business partners.

**Skills/Competencies**

+ Requires a minimum of 14 years of related experience; or a minimum of 12 years with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience.

+ Proven experience managing and diagnosing SEO health for large-scale enterprise websites with millions of indexed pages, preferably within online marketplaces, job boards, e-commerce, travel networks, aggregators, or high-volume UGC platforms.

+ Deep expertise in technical SEO, including Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, crawl and log file analysis, canonicalization, internal linking, metadata optimization, Schema.org structured data, and advanced rank tracking tools.

+ Demonstrated proficiency with SEO platforms and crawlers such as SEOClarity, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Sistrix, Screaming Frog, and custom Python-based crawling solutions.

+ Solid understanding of data analysis methodologies including regression analysis, funnel and conversion analysis, A/B testing, and pre/post impact testing, with intermediate SQL skills utilizing joins, subqueries, aggregations, and window functions across large datasets.

+ Experience leveraging AI tools and APIs, including ChatGPT and OpenAI API, to automate workflows, streamline analysis, and improve operational efficiency.

+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing PRDs, delivering executive-level reporting, and translating complex technical SEO concepts for cross-functional audiences; familiarity with BI and project management tools such as Looker, Tableau, and JIRA.
