Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PHYSICAL SCIENTIST/OCEANOGRAPHER in the HYDROGRAPHIC DEPARTMENT of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS. Responsibilities You will serve as the Hydrographic Department Deputy Director in formulating administrative policy, and in the preparation of integrated long-range fiscal and technical strategies for the Department. You will perform staff functions as required by the Hydrographic Department Director in preparation of briefing material and reports, attend conferences, and serve on ad hoc committees guiding office policy, procurement, and technical development. You will be responsible for implementing new technology into the Hydrographic Department. You will lead a team of multi-disciplinary experts and coordinate efforts with other organization expert/scientists in the development of new technologies for improved production systems. You will evaluate subordinate performance. Identify developmental and training needs of employees and make provisions for such to be accomplished. You will perform full range of supervisory responsibilities for a subordinate, direct report staff, provide guidance and consultation for other division and department personnel.
