Sr Process Improvement Specialist, AMXL ACES, Inbound
Description

The Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) Fulfillment Center Operations Integration team is looking for an innovative, customer-centric, and experienced leader with a strong record of achieving results, to own and drive improvements across the AMXL network. This role is high visibility, strategic in nature, and drives a large part of the Customer Experience foundation core to the AMXL program.

As a Process Improvement Specialist for the AMXL ACES team you will focus on Performance and Standardization initiatives with the goal of improving areas and processes in our fulfilment centers. Additionally, this role will look around corners to solve complex problems and investigate new technology implementation into day-to-day operations. This role will require end-to-end project management and collaboration across a diverse, cross-functional group of stakeholders for the Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitor & Control, and Closeout stages of the project life cycle. This role will have direct interaction with Senior Level Executives through WhitePaper creation and reviews, Business Reviews, and future planning initiatives.

To be successful in this position the PIS must be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, highly demanding, and often ambiguous environment, while maintaining laser-focused attention to detail. You will have experiences scaling projects/programs with multiple stakeholder groups from inception to launch with demonstrated data-driven decision making.

Key job responsibilities

- Analyze problems in the Inbound areas of the operation including Receive Dock, Transport, Stow, Bulk Floor, and Consolidation.

- Act quickly to help solve network-level safety, quality, and process escalations.

- Provide network-level direction on changes and project updates.

- See operational variation and reduce that variation through projects, data, and metrics.

- Identify opportunities for improvement, develop solutions through innovation, standardization, and automation.

- Drive improvements to current standard work and building design templates.

- Work autonomously and seek to understand business problems, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions and reasons behind leadership decisions

- Partner with stakeholders to source, allocate, and coordinate resources

- Work with Field Operations to improve knowledge and improve productivity, quality, safety and identify growing trends.

- Oversee gaps between teams, processes and systems, helping teams reduce exposure to classic failure modes (e.g., requirements not sufficiently understood or documented, ineffective cross-team collaboration, long-term impact(s) from third-party solutions, security not considered, insufficient stakeholder review, etc.)

- Proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks)

- Work with program managers, business leaders and executive team to communicate and impact critical business initiatives

- Up to 50% travel required, 75% during peak season.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or above in engineering, project management, operations, logistics, supply chain or related field

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in capital project management involving ownership/management of engineering design projects

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
