Senior Python Developer
**About the role**
As a **Senior Python Developer** , you will make an impact by designing and delivering scalable, cloud?based analytics and data engineering solutions that support high?demand, enterprise applications. You will be a valued member of Cognizant's **Digital Engineering** team and work closely with product managers, technical leads, designers, and client stakeholders to deliver reliable, high?quality software that drives business value.
**In this role, you will:**
+ Design, build, and deploy large?scale analytics and data engineering solutions on cloud platforms such as **Google Cloud Platform (preferred)** or **Azure**
+ Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions, leading discussions with product and technical stakeholders as needed
+ Develop applications using industry?standard coding practices, including writing unit tests and meeting defined code coverage targets
+ Ensure features are thoroughly tested, monitored, and successfully deployed to production environments
+ Implement and maintain monitoring and observability solutions in alignment with client recommendations
+ Document system designs and service specifications, and provide guidance to development teams on functional and technical documentation

**What you need to have to be considered**
+ 6+ years of hands?on experience in **Python development**
+ Strong experience with **PySpark** , **SQL** , **advanced data queries** , and **Airflow pipelines**
+ Experience building analytics or data engineering solutions on cloud platforms (GCP or Azure)
+ Hands?on experience or solid understanding of designing **large?scale, high?volume applications**
+ Ability to collaborate effectively with cross?functional teams and communicate technical solutions clearly
**These will help you stand out**
+ Experience with **Google BigQuery**
+ Knowledge of **Scala**
+ Experience with visualization tools such as **Power BI** or **Looker Studio**
+ Exposure to enterprise?scale data platforms and production?grade analytics systems

**Compensation**
The annual salary for this position ranges from **$68,422 to $131,500** , depending on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, subject to performance and applicable plan terms.
