Clinical Informatics Director (Remote)
**Overview**
GovCIO is seeking aClinical Informatics Director (MD/DO)to provide senior clinical leadership across complex healthcare technology initiatives. This role serves as a critical bridge between clinical operations and digital health solutions, ensuring that technology implementations are aligned with real-world care delivery, provider workflows, and patient outcomes.
The Clinical Informatics Director will partner with cross-functional teams to guide strategy, inform system design, and drive adoption of innovative health IT solutions across large-scale enterprise environments. This position plays a key role in shaping how data, technology, and clinical practice come together to improve care delivery. This is a fully remote position.
**Responsibilities**
+ Provideclinical informatics leadershipacross complex healthcare and digital health initiatives
+ Serve as a trusted advisor to technical and operational teams, ensuring alignment betweenclinical workflows and technology solutions
+ Guide the design, implementation, and optimization ofclinical systems, decision support tools, and data-driven care models
+ Collaborate with engineering, product, and program teams to translate clinical requirements intoscalable technical solutions
+ Support integration and optimization ofelectronic health record systems and related clinical platforms
+ Lead efforts to improveprovider experience, care coordination, and patient outcomes through informatics-driven approaches
+ Contribute to strategic planning, solution development, and execution ofhealth IT modernization initiatives
+ Provide subject matter expertise inclinical data standards, interoperability, and healthcare information exchange
+ Engage with stakeholders to drive adoption, change management, and continuous improvement across programs
**Qualifications**
**Required Skills and Experience**
+ MD or DO required
+ Board Certification in Clinical Informatics (ABPM or equivalent) required
+ Minimum 10+ years of experience (or commensurate experience).
+ 8+ years experience in clinical informatics leadership roles
+ Demonstrated experience working at the intersection ofclinical care, health IT, and data-driven decision making
+ Deep understanding ofclinical workflows, healthcare systems, and informatics principles
+ Experience supporting or working withinlarge healthcare systems or federal healthcare environments preferred
+ Familiarity withEHR platforms such as VistA, CPRS, or Oracle Health (Cerner)preferred
+ Experience collaborating with technical teams inAgile or product-driven environmentspreferred
**Clearance Required:** Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust Clearance.

**Posted Pay Range**
