Group Retention Executive

The Specialty Retention Executive is responsible for retaining and growing membership within existing 2 - 99 Specialty accounts and for partnering with brokers and agents to manage business relationships with client accounts.

Humana is looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented, and responsible **Specialty Retention Executive** who is looking for an opportunity for growth in a progressive organization.

The Specialty Retention Executive retains and grows membership within existing 2 - 99 Specialty accounts and for partnering with brokers and agents to manage business relationships with client accounts. The Specialty Retention Executive work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

**_Responsibilities Include:_**

+ Oversee customer account management for existing 2 - 99 ancillary accounts, including negotiating contracts and agreements.

+ Build relationships with brokers and agents.

+ Responsible for achieving retention sales goals and add on sales goals for defined book of business.

+ Develop and oversee customer retention campaigns.

+ Product Lines: Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability

+ Liaison between assigned clients and Humana internal areas for escalated issues.

+ May represent Humana at community events, associations and industry organizations.

+ Understand department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.

+ Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receive guidance where needed. Follow established guidelines/procedures.

**_Required Qualifications:_**

+ 2+ years' experience selling or retaining within the employer group insurance environment.

+ Understanding of employer procurement process

+ Client management experience

+ Business and Financial Acumen

+ Develop positive, collaborative client relationships.

+ Active life and health license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

+ Must be able to work the hours in Central Standard Time (8am-5pm CST)

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Strong communicator- written, verbal and presentation skills

**Additional Information**

**Work at Home/Remote Requirement**

To ensure Hybrid Office/Home associates' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Hybrid Office/Home associates must meet the following criteria:

+ At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

+ Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership

+ Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

+ Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone and computer equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

+ Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

**Pay Range**

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$48,800 - $65,900 per year

This job is eligible for a commission incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
