**About the role**
As an **Azure Developer** , you will make an impact by designing, building, and optimizing modern data pipelines and integrations using Microsoft Azure services. You will be a valued member of our data engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to enable scalable and high?quality data solutions.
**In this role, you will:**
+ Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using **Azure Data Factory (ADF)** .
+ Design and implement cloud?based data architectures leveraging Azure services (e.g., Data Lake, Azure SQL, Databricks).
+ Build robust ETL/ELT processes to support analytics, reporting, and advanced data initiatives.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline performance, reliability, and quality issues.
+ Collaborate with cross?functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver reliable solutions.

**What you need to have to be considered**
+ 4-5 years of hands?on experience in data engineering.
+ Strong expertise in **Azure Data Factory (ADF)** , including building and orchestrating complex pipelines.
+ Experience with Azure cloud data storage (Azure Data Lake, Blob Storage) and Azure SQL or Synapse.
+ Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration principles.
+ Proficiency in SQL for data transformations and performance tuning.
**These will help you stand out**
+ Experience with **Azure Databricks** or PySpark.
+ Knowledge of CI/CD for data pipelines using Azure DevOps or Git.
+ Familiarity with data modeling techniques and best practices.
+ Exposure to monitoring, logging, and optimizing Azure?based workloads.
+ Experience working in an Agile environment.

**Salary and Other Compensation** :
Applications will be accepted until March 22, 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $ 70,000 - $ 85,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
