**About the role**
As an **Enterprise Solution Architect - Insurance** , you will make an impact by designing and delivering high?quality, scalable, and secure technology solutions that align business strategy with enterprise?level architectural standards. You will be a valued member of our architecture team and collaborate closely with customer enterprise architects, business partners, and cross?functional teams to shape technical direction, drive digital transformation, and ensure successful solution implementation.
This role is ideal for a highly seasoned enterprise architect with deep expertise across integration patterns, system design, and architecture governance-paired with strong Insurance domain experience.
**In this role, you will:**
+ Lead the design and delivery of end?to?end technical solutions that address complex customer business needs.
+ Partner closely with customer enterprise architects and business stakeholders to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, requirements, and strategic objectives.
+ Oversee architectural governance by ensuring all products, components, and integrations adhere to customer enterprise guidelines and technology roadmaps.
+ Develop architecture blueprints, technology roadmaps, and solution frameworks that support scalability, performance, and long?term maintainability.
+ Evaluate and recommend technologies, integration approaches, and deployment models that support business goals and reduce technical risk.
+ Provide expert guidance on system components, integration patterns, data flows, cloud/SaaS adoption, and security best practices.
+ Participate in Architecture Review Board (ARB) processes, ensuring solutions meet compliance, security, and enterprise design standards.
+ Collaborate with cross?functional delivery teams (onshore and offshore), ensuring smooth implementation, knowledge sharing, and technical alignment throughout the lifecycle.
+ Communicate complex architectural concepts clearly through documentation, presentations, and solution walkthroughs for both technical and non?technical audiences.
+ Drive thought leadership and provide technical mentorship to teams, including guidance on modern architectures, frameworks, and architectural decision?making.

**What you need to have to be considered**
+ **TOGAF certification (mandatory).**
+ **Proven experience as an Enterprise Solution Architect designing complex, large?scale IT systems - Min 15 yrs of exp is required.**
+ **Strong Insurance domain expertise (mandatory), with knowledge of industry platforms, data flows, and operational processes.**
+ Deep understanding of:
+ Enterprise architecture principles and frameworks
+ System components and integration patterns
+ Data flow architecture and deployment models
+ Security best practices and compliance controls
+ COTS and SaaS solution models
+ Architecture Review Board (ARB) processes
+ Ability to collaborate effectively with customer enterprise architects, business partners, and technical delivery teams.
+ Strong documentation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
+ Ability to work with cross?functional teams in a fast?paced, consulting?oriented environment.
**These will help you stand out**
+ Exposure to AI / GenAI concepts, use cases, or implementation approaches (preferred, not required).
+ Experience leading architecture efforts in cloud?based, SaaS, or hybrid environments.
+ Background supporting digital transformation initiatives within Insurance organizations.
+ Ability to drive consensus, resolve architectural conflicts, and manage risks across large?scale programs.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $140K-$166K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
