**About the role**
As a **Senior SDET with Playwright and SQL Expertise** , you will make an impact by ensuring the highest quality standards across the software development lifecycle. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver robust and reliable solutions.
**In this role, you will:**
Represent the Quality Engineering team throughout the project lifecycle, including grooming, sprint planning, defect triage, risk mitigation, and root cause analysis.
Participate actively in requirements grooming sessions to ensure clear acceptance criteria for comprehensive test coverage.
Plan and execute test activities such as test design, in-sprint automation, regression automation, execution, defect tracking, and coordination of functional and regression testing.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, improving processes and providing guidance to team members.
Perform comprehensive testing to prevent defects in Regression, End-to-End, Client, and Production environments, and translate QA, UAT, and business scenarios into automated regression test cases.

**What you need to have to be considered:**
**7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance** with proficiency in Agile methodology.
**Expertise in Playwright (must)** , with ability to design frameworks from scratch.
**Strong skills in SQL and Core Java** .
Hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing.
Experience with Cucumber BDD, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Maven, GitHub, and Jenkins.
Ability to work under high-pressure environments and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.

**Salary and Other Compensation**

The annual salary for this position is between $53,477 to $92,500, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
