**Job Description:**
Successful candidate will be required to work 100% in the field locations.
This role is based out of our El Paso, TX office. The successful candidate will work full-time on the project site located in Santa Teresa, New Mexico.
Provides senior level cost engineering leadership on large complex projects as a key member of the owners project management and project controls team.
Oversees and manages project costs to ensure delivery within approved budgets and contractual requirements.
Establishes and maintains the project cost baseline monitors expenditures against forecasts and coordinates with the Reporting Lead to deliver clear and detailed cost reports to management.
Leads evaluation of the cost impact of change orders schedule adjustments and scope variations while advising project managers and senior leadership on cost risks trends and mitigation strategies.
Directs tracking of cost plus contract line items to ensure all reimbursable costs and associated fees are accurately captured validated and reported in full compliance with contract requirements.
Provides technical guidance and training to more junior staff.
Mentors more junior staff and develops them for future growth within the discipline and firm.
May supervise the work of junior engineers on project work.
Performs other duties as required.

**Minimum Qualifications:**
Bachelor's degree.
5 years of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Advanced Excel skills and experience with project controls platforms such as Primavera P6, EcoSys, Unifier, or Procore.
Strong expertise in cost control, forecasting, earned value, and change order evaluation.
Experience with cost-plus and GMP contract management, including reimbursable cost tracking.

**Skills and Abilities:**
In-depth knowledge of project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, and finance and accounting concepts and practices.
Demonstrates excellent knowledge of project goals, drivers, strategies, risks and opportunities as well as an understanding of project finance, accounting or business administration.
Expert level knowledge of Enterprise Project Portfolio Management suite of tools (Primavera).
Proficient in the use of Project Performance tools (EcoSys).
Possesses excellent teamwork and collaboration skills and an ability to work well in fast paced environments requiring daily shifting of priorities.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
**Background Check and Drug Testing Information:**
