**Role Description**
The Payer Data Analyst will be responsible for aiding the Business Intelligence team in acquiring, ingesting and monitoring data quality for payer data sent to Oak Street Health. This is a new position to the organization, and functions alongside several business units to leverage health plan relationships and data for the benefit of Oak Street patients. While day-to-day activities will be variable and highly dependent on each health plan, common over-arching tasks include: negotiation with health plans for standard files, business analysis of incoming files, reconciliation of data for both internal and external audit purposes, and functioning as an internal SME for a specific payer data subject area.
**Responsibilities**
+ Aid or lead conversations with health plans for data acquisition
+ Aid, lead and/or perform UAT for all new datasets coming to Oak Street Health
+ Research and suggest solutions for data quality and governance issues related to payer data as used in both data warehouse processes and business decision making
+ Function as a SME for the subject area specifically hired into
+ Establish relationships with internal and external partners to obtain and validate quality data
+ Assist in creating uniform business rules and policies that will be used for Oak Street Health
+ Other duties as assigned
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ 3 years of relevant healthcare work experience.
+ Proficient in writing SQL queries and reading stored procedures on large data sets with complex data models.
+ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PowerPivot, functions, VBA).
+ Database fundamentals experience: knowledgeable in database rules, writing queries, and relational database theory and management (table creation, querying, relational structures).
+ Ability to manage deadlines, deliverables, and communication with relevant stakeholders.
+ Strong written and verbal communication.
**Preferred Requirements:**
+ Experience with manipulating large files and working with missing values in Python (using pandas) are preferred.
+ Experience with Databricks, SQL Server, or Foundry.
**Education:**
+ Bachelor's degree preferred; preferably in Business Administration, Health Administration, Public Health or Computer Science.

**Pay Range**
The typical pay range for this role is:
$46,988.00 - $122,400.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
