+ **Job Summary**

+ The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient-centered care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality care based on established clinical protocols and physician/provider orders. The RN collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care and desired outcomes, while maintaining a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families.

+ **Essential Functions**

+ Leads the daily operations of the surgical services department, ensuring alignment with organizational mission, vision, and values.

+ Oversees the delivery of perioperative care, verifying the availability of personnel, equipment, and supplies to meet patient and procedural needs.

+ Assists in evaluating perioperative practices, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing strategies to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

+ Provides guidance, support, and mentorship to surgical services personnel, fostering professional development and accountability.

+ Collaborates with perioperative management and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement performance improvement initiatives.

+ Analyzes data related to quality improvement projects, utilizing findings to inform decision-making and promote best practices.

+ Participates in the recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation of perioperative personnel.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

+ Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

+ Complies with all policies and standards.

**Qualifications**

+ 3-5 years of experience in progressive perioperative or surgical services required

+ 2-4 years of progressive experience in healthcare management with increasing levels of responsibility and authority required

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**

+ In-depth knowledge of perioperative care processes, surgical services operations, and regulatory standards.

+ Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and support personnel.

+ Excellent communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.

+ Proficiency in data analysis and quality improvement methodologies.

+ Commitment to maintaining patient privacy, confidentiality, and advocacy.

**Licenses and Certifications**

+ RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required

+ BCLS - Basic Life Support required

+ ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required

+ PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required

+ CNOR - Certified Operating Room Nurse preferred
