**The Role**

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Ingalls Planning Yard Services (PYS) Program Control Manager will be responsible for the financial management and compliance control of all Planning Yard contracts including CG 47, LPD/LHD/LHA, and LCS ship classes. The scope of this position is broad and includes:

Provide management and control of program execution addressing cost, schedule, technical, and quality performance. Develop Program level and financial metrics, reports and data to measure performance. Provide Program analysis, status, and corrective action recommendations to PYS management and customers. Liaison and interface with SupShip Gulf Coast, SEA21 Program Management, PMS 421, PMS 321, Regional Maintenance Centers, Type Commanders (TYCOM), installing activities, and other Government activities. Drive continued process improvement focused on commonality/standardization of PYS products and processes. Interface directly with Planning Yard Services current and potential partners/subcontractors, and government activities, for future business growth opportunities.The PYS Program Control Manager reports to the Director, Planning Yard Services.

**Must Have**

Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline, plus a minimum of 8 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master's degree and 6 years relevant experience.

**Nice to Have**

Strong writing and messaging skills, presentation development, and public-speaking capabilities are required; along with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, online databases, web portals, SAP, IFS, etc. Management Experience - Prior Planning Yard Services/Fleet Sustainment Engineering/Post Delivery experience, including strong technical knowledge of shipbuilding/ship repair, program level management experience, including customer interactions.
