**Job Description**
We are Cloud Performance Engineering team (PSR) focused specifically on the Performance, Scalability, Availability and Reliability aspects of mission critical Oracle Health and Analytics Cloud Services. The team engages across all aspects of software development lifecycle from performance perspective including architecture and design reviews, performance benchmarking and analysis, sizing, production performance resolutions, and others to ensure customer satisfaction and success.
As a Senior Performance Engineer / Consulting Member of Technical Staff with the Oracle Health and Analytics Cloud Performance team, you will play a pivotal role in improving performance of Oracle's latest Cloud Services. You will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Additionally, you will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
+ 10+ years of software engineering or related experience
+ Expertise in Architectural concepts around Cloud Computing and Enterprise Software Development
+ Proficient in Java / J2EE and systems engineering, Python is a plus
+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills
+ Experience with Microservices architecture software development
+ Hands-on experience with load testing, profiling and analysis tools
+ Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex performance, scaling and stability issues
+ Experience in developing software using AI/ML, Prompt Engineering, NLP, Speech processing and related technologies
+ Experience in performance characteristics of latest Open Source Cloud Technologies - Kubernetes, Kafka, Cache, ElasticSearch, BigData and others.
+ Strong knowledge of System technologies - Linux, Docker, Virtualization, Compute, Networking and others
+ MS or BS in Engineering or Computer Science

+ Work closely with Development Leads/Architects on identifying/designing/implementing code optimizations.
+ Perform in-depth analysis using performance profiling tools to identify hotspots and optimization opportunities to improve overall product performance
+ Provide technical consulting and mentoring to team members on optimization techniques, new algorithm design, implementation and conformance to architecture standards.
+ Candidate should also be strong in algorithms and design paradigms
+ Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
**Responsibilities**
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
