**Description**
SAIC is seeking a **Network Engineer** to be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network architecture for shipboard C5ISR systems, ensuring robust and secure communication networks in new ship construction.
**Work is performed on site in Pascagoula, MS.**
**Duties:**
- Design and implement network architecture for shipboard C5ISR systems
- Ensure secure and reliable shipboard communication networks design
- Coordinate with customer for network requirements
- Conduct network performance analysis and optimization
- Support the development and review of network-related documentation and design reviews

**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelor in Science in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or related field; OR additional experience can be considered in lieu of degree
- Five (5) years of Network Engineering experience and extensive knowledge C3ISR, C4ISR, C5ISR, and/or C6ISR shipboard systems and architecture

- Demonstrates familiarity and understanding of all subject areas in Certification and Accreditation (C&A)
- Proficiency in network architecture design and implementation
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices
- Ability to conduct network performance analysis and optimization
- Knowledge of and experience with evaluating networking functional requirements
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Experience supporting projects in a Shipyard environment
**Required Clearance:**
- Active Secret Clearance
**Required Certification:**
-Cybersecurity Workforce Level II cert i.e. Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP & a Vendor operating system certification: i.e. Microsoft, Cisco, RedHat, or Linux
