**About the role**
As a **Lead QA Automation Engineer - Mobile & Web Platforms** , you will make an impact by ensuring high-quality delivery through robust automation frameworks and testing strategies for web and mobile platforms. You will be a valued member of our QA team and collaborate closely with offshore teams and stakeholders to drive automation excellence.
**In this role, you will:**
+ Participate in **daily stand-up calls** and provide status updates.
+ Manage and coordinate activities with the **offshore team** .
+ Update and maintain **automation frameworks** to ensure scalability and efficiency.
+ Develop **functional test cases and automation scripts** for web and mobile applications.
+ Perform **functional and automated regression testing** to validate application quality.

**What you need to have to be considered**
+ At least 8+ years of experience in test automation for **mobile and web applications** .
+ Strong experience with automation frameworks such as **Appium, Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium** .
+ Hands-on experience in **API automation testing** using tools like **Postman, Rest Assured** , or similar.
+ Solid knowledge of **unit testing frameworks** such as **JUnit, NUnit, TestNG, or Jest** .
+ Proficiency in programming languages such as **TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or Kotlin** .
+ Strong experience with **database testing** and validating stored procedures using **SQL** .
+ Experience integrating tests into **CI/CD pipelines** (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bitbucket).
+ Familiarity with **cloud-based mobile testing platforms** (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
**These will help you stand out**
+ Experience in **performance testing** and security testing.
+ Knowledge of **containerization tools** like Docker and Kubernetes for test environments.
+ Exposure to **cloud platforms** (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for test execution.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to mentor junior team members.

**Salary and Other Compensation**

The annual salary for this position is between $71,100 to $112,500, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
