**About the role**
As a Network Architect, you will make an impact by designing and securing the backbone of our enterprise and cloud networks. Your work will ensure seamless connectivity, robust security, and optimized performance across global environments. By leveraging automation and mentoring others, you'll reduce operational overhead and elevate team capabilities, directly impacting business continuity and innovation. You will be a valued member of the Cloud Infrastructure and Security team and work collaboratively with the Project Delivery Manager.
**In this role, you will:**
- Design and optimize enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and AWS cloud environments.
- Configure and manage Cisco switching technologies to deliver high availability and performance.
- Deploy and troubleshoot Palo Alto Networks Firewalls (physical and virtual) to maintain secure connectivity.
- Implement dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) for efficient traffic flow and network resilience.
- Architect AWS networking solutions, including Transit Gateways, Security Groups, Endpoints, GWLB, ALB, NLB, and WAF.
- Administer wireless networks using Meraki products for seamless user experiences.
- Lead advanced troubleshooting to resolve complex network issues quickly and effectively.
- Identify automation opportunities and collaborate with automation teams to streamline operations.
- Create and maintain documentation for network architecture, configurations, and processes.
- Mentor and train team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices across all environments.

**What you need to have to be considered**
- Strong foundation in networking fundamentals and protocols, with 8+ years of experience in core networking concepts.
- Proficiency with Cisco switching technologies and Palo Alto Networks Firewalls.
- 5+ years of experience managing AWS networking services, including Transit Gateways, Security Groups, Endpoints, GWLB, ALB, NLB, and WAF.
- Expertise in dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP and have practical knowledge of wireless technologies, including Meraki products.

**Salary and Other Compensation:**

The annual salary for this position is between $79,000 - $92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
