Information Systems Security-Consultant
**Job Description:**

The Intermountain Cybersecurity Assurance team encompasses Governance & Business Resilience, Cybersecurity Risk, Cybersecurity Compliance, Cybersecurity M&A, and Cybersecurity Training & Awareness.

This Cybersecurity Consultant role will specialize in enterprise disaster recovery planning and exercises, ensuring critical systems and applications meet recovery objectives and business continuity standards.

As a subject matter expert, you will coordinate and lead disaster recovery exercises, assess application readiness, and drive remediation efforts to strengthen resilience across the enterprise. This position requires deep technical knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.

**Please note that a video interview through Microsoft Teams will be required as well as potential onsite interviews and meetings.**

**Essential Functions**

+ Coordinate enterprise-wide disaster recovery exercises from planning through execution.

+ Define scope for each exercise, ensuring alignment with resilience policies and objectives.

+ Engage with cross-functional teams to include the right personnel and specialties for realistic scenarios.

+ Analyze application dependencies and architecture to validate recovery strategies and identify gaps.

+ Document outcomes and develop remediation plans to strengthen resilience.

+ Plan, schedule, and execute disaster recovery exercises for critical systems and applications.

+ Produce After-Action Reports (AARs) summarizing findings and lessons learned.

+ Assign and track remediation items to close gaps and improve recovery posture.

+ Maintain and improve disaster recovery playbooks, readiness scoring models, and recovery procedures.

+ Strong facilitation and organizational skills for large-scale exercises.

+ Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

+ Deep understanding of application dependencies, infrastructure architecture, and recovery workflows.

+ Leadership in driving remediation efforts across multiple teams.

+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

**Job Specific**

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's degree through an accredited institution, _or_ an advanced cybersecurity certification such as the CISSP or SANS 700+ Series

+ 9-10 years of related work experience

+ Expert experience in cybersecurity technologies, systems and processes

+ Expert Troubleshooting skills

+ Expert skill in analysis, attention to detail, problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making

+ Expert skill in communication, presentation, and collaboration skills

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Master's degree through an accredited institution, or multiple advanced cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP or SANS 700+ Series

+ Depending on the role focus:

+ Cybersecurity

+ Disaster Recovery

+ IT Operations

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$60.06 - $94.57
