Job Title: Manufacturing Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Design Engineer who can work independently, manage projects effectively, and prioritize tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple functions. A high level of detailed documentation and a passion for rockets and aerospace are essential. The candidate should be adept at taking direction and executing tasks with precision.

Responsibilities

+ Design and build assembly carts for aerospace applications.

+ Conduct load analysis, ensure structural integrity, and apply ergonomic design principles for assembly line efficiency.

+ Develop reliable part marking systems that maintain traceability and meet industry standards.

+ Integrate marking systems into the production process, ensuring consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory teams for seamless workflow integration.

+ Manage projects from design through implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines and objectives.

Essential Skills

+ Proven experience in mechanical design, project management, load analysis, and structural analysis.

+ 5+ years of experience in relevant fields.

+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred).

+ Familiarity with technologies such as laser marking, inkjet printing, or other durable marking methods suitable for solid rocket motors.

+ Experience integrating mechanical systems with automated solutions for improved production efficiency.

+ Proficiency with control systems and interfacing hardware or software necessary for automated part marking.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Solid understanding of solid rocket motor design and manufacturing processes.

+ Knowledge of aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.

+ Experience with documentation, traceability systems, and compliance audits.

Work Environment

This position is onsite at the McHenry, MS location. Remote or hybrid work is not permitted. Candidates must be willing to work fully onsite.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mc Henry, MS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $79.00/hr.
