Manufacturing Engineer
Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer passionate about rockets and aerospace. The ideal candidate will work independently, manage projects with a priority mindset, and possess strong communication skills. This role requires the ability to work cross-functionally and maintain high levels of detailed documentation. You should be someone who easily takes direction and gets the work done efficiently.

Responsibilities

+ Manage and execute projects independently while maintaining a priority-focused mindset.

+ Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless project execution.

+ Document processes and project details with high levels of detail.

+ Integrate and design robotic systems for material handling and precise casting tasks.

+ Program and troubleshoot robotic automation tasks related to casting.

+ Implement and manage control systems to monitor casting parameters.

+ Optimize heat transfer and flow during casting to ensure defect-free processes.

+ Maintain quality control and process optimization standards.

+ Utilize sensors, instrumentation, and automation software for process control.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

+ 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.

+ Deep understanding of fluid dynamics relevant to fluid flow.

+ Proficiency in solid rocket motor casting techniques.

+ Experience in heat transfer and flow optimization during casting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience designing or integrating robotic systems.

+ Skilled in programming and troubleshooting robotic automation tasks.

+ Experience with sensors, instrumentation, and automation software for process control.

Work Environment

This role is based onsite in McHenry, MS, supporting the RMS division. The work week is typically 40-55 hours, starting with a mandatory onsite meeting at 7:30 AM, with a 30-minute lunch break, and generally wrapping up around 4:30 PM. The position limits exposure to energetics and does not require working 70 hours a week. The work is new and creative, focusing on automating processes that are currently only handled by two large primes.

This is a Contract position based out of Mc Henry, MS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $79.00/hr.
