**Job Description**
As a Senior Principal Systems Engineer, you are a guru, with strong expertise across the stack & tiers (application and system), focused in the creation and management of business solutions using Oracle technology, the operations surrounding it, and the Oracle services infrastructure needed to achieve the highest service levels (e.g., availability, performance, etc.) and consequent high customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for setting overall technology direction for key areas to invest resources in, building internal expertise and leveraging knowledge within the Support organization. You will be expected to resolve and help guide resolution of multiple highly difficult and complex problems and escalations involving several product areas, while providing consultation to senior technical advisors on projects, reviewing their work and advising areas for self-advancement.

**Responsibilities**
As a **Senior Principal Systems Engineer** , you will serve as a technical expert and thought leader across the full Oracle technology stack - from application to infrastructure - with a focus on PeopleSoft HCM solutions. This role demands deep domain expertise, a strategic mindset, and the ability to operate independently on complex projects involving design, implementation, integration, and production support.
You will set the overall technology direction for your area of focus, build and share internal expertise, and guide the Support organization in achieving the highest levels of service quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.
This role also includes mentoring senior technical advisors, reviewing solution designs, and helping resolve the most complex technical challenges across multiple product areas.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Lead and execute complex PeopleSoft HCM projects involving configuration, customization, and performance optimization.
+ Collaborate with functional and technical teams to deliver end-to-end solutions across Time & Labor, Absence Management, and Payroll for North America.
+ Provide expert-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis for critical escalations and performance issues.
+ Drive automation and innovation to improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency across systems.
+ Engage with senior stakeholders to define architecture, roadmap, and best practices.
+ Support and guide patching, upgrades, and PUM activities.
+ Mentor team members and contribute to organizational knowledge-sharing initiatives.
**Required Skills and Experience**
**Core PeopleSoft HCM Expertise**
+ Minimum of **8 years of hands-on experience** in PeopleSoft HCM implementations and support.
+ Proven experience in the following modules:
+ **Time and Labor** - Hands-on experience with Rules Engine, TRCs, Time Administration, and integration with Payroll.
+ **Absence Management** - Configuration and customization of Take/Entitlement rules, complex accrual policies, and retroactive processing.
+ **Payroll for North America** - Payroll setup, Pay Confirmation, Payroll Interface, handling payroll errors, tax updates, and W-2 activities.
**Technical Proficiency**
+ Expertise in **PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interfaces (CI), Integration Broker, SQR/BI Publisher,** and **COBOL** .
+ Experience designing or supporting inbound/outbound interfaces with third-party systems.
+ Strong debugging, performance tuning, and optimization skills.
+ Proven ability to extract and apply PUM updates and resolve bugs across environments.
**General and Soft Skills**
+ Experience leading **full lifecycle implementations or major upgrades** .
+ Ability to **work independently** and manage multiple priorities in a global delivery model.
+ Familiarity with **Agile or hybrid delivery** environments.
+ Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

US: Hiring Range in USD from $46.30 to $95.91 per hour; from: $96,300 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
