Job Responsibilities

Interviews, counsels, disciplines, assigns, and monitors work; trains, orients, and evaluates assigned personnel. Develops productivity and performance standards. Observes and documents productivity of assigned personnel to maintain department FTE goals

Promotes BMHCC vision/values through personal example and interaction with staff and ensures compliance with BMHCC policies and procedures.

Analyzes department operations, identifies opportunities for cost reductions and enhanced efficiency. Monitors supply needs of customers and develops improvement plans with measurable goals to enhance services.

Directs overall operation of materials management departments and works with staff and customers to enhance efficiency and quality of service.

Maintains good working relationship with all hospital departments by providing service, assistance and open communication. Develops and maintains a positive work climate and the overall team efforts of the department. Communicates and interacts with staff and key customers to imporove customer satisfaction.

Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed.
Specifications
Experience
Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired
Four (4) years of experience in Materials Management or Two (2) years formal leadership experience in any function.
Previous experience in a large healthcare facility.
Education
Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired
High school Diploma or Equivalent.
Bachelor degree and 2 years experience or 6 years experience in Healthcare.
