First-Line Supervisor

This is a temporary job for 1 worker in Boynton Beach, Florida. Work begins August 3, 2026 to May 31, 2027. The work week is 35 hours per week, 6 hours a day, Monday through Friday, and 5 hours on Saturday. The hourly work schedule is 8:00am to 2:00pm. Pay is $17.44 per hour.


Workers will provide supervision and transportation to crew members in the farm laborer/hand harvester positions, monitor workers to ensure that safety regulations are followed, warning or disciplining those who violate safety regulations. Required to have a Farm Labor Contractor's license with valid driving authorization. First-line supervisors have no authority to directly hire or discharge workers. However, first-line supervisors may be instructed by management to give warnings or take disciplinary action against workers not following protocols. Will oversee the quality of work performed by the workers. Workers will be responsible for providing field workers with necessary water supply, and work tools. Workers may be required to assist in the completion of the fieldwork being performed. Workers may be required to operate farm vehicles to move between field locations. Workers will be required to communicate with other supervisors and farm management to determine production requirements, conditions of equipment and supplies, and work schedules. Workers will supervise the following activities: Operate forklifts and equipment used to fertilize and apply pesticides to plants in nursery area. Drench plants with pesticides, growth regulators and /or fertilizers. Must be able to reach, bend and lift items weighing 75 pounds. Must be able to work outdoors in dusty/dirty conditions, at extreme heat and cold inclement weather. Must be able to listen to, understand, and follow simple instructions of supervisors and dispatcher. Must be able to work in fields where ants, snakes and poison ivy are encountered. The alternative work is truck maintenance and nursery equipment maintenance - including the repair, irrigation, vehicles and various equipment and tools used at the nursery.
