Job Description:
Hazard identification, risk reduction, and mitigation strategies. Developing and managing processes to ensure compliance with energy efficiency standards and environmental regulations, implementing strategies to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact. Providing operational leadership and technical support to optimize the manufacturing processes in the Utilities area. Identifying, evaluating, and implementing safety, quality, and cost-reduction initiatives that add value to operations. Creating and refining procedures to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Optimizing and coordinating scheduled shutdowns, ensuring comprehensive work scopes to address equipment liabilities. Owning and leading capital projects within the Utilities area, driving process, energy optimization and equipment improvements. Conducting operational deep dives to identify process and equipment gaps, developing and executing improvement plans. Leading detailed engineering reviews of capital and expense projects to ensure implemented projects are optimized in regard to reliability, safety, and cost. Engineering mentorship of less seasoned department members. Regular engineering process reviews to vet and determine if more reliable or cost-effective alternatives are available. Routine engineering troubleshooting on all process upsets. Partake and help lead root cause analysis to prevent repeat failures and operational upsets. Help develop value added action items. Work with AAL daily on loss accounting reports to allocate when equipment is performing below set operating envelope.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience.
