QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Master’s Degree in Education or related field. 2. Four years of teaching experience at more than one grade level is preferred 3. Evidence of strong written communication and presentation skills 4. Experience in providing professional development 5. Mississippi Educator License (Subject related endorsement) 6. Expertise in content area instruction. 7. Extensive knowledge of the Mississippi College and Career Readiness Standards and supporting MDE documents

REPORTS TO: Director of Curriculum and Instruction JOB GOAL: To provide leadership and coordination in the ongoing development and improvement of the curriculum and instructional program of the Meridian Public School District.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned, including but not limited to: Instructional Coaching & Teacher Support (All Teachers) 1. Provide job-embedded coaching and professional learning to general education and special education teachers, focused on high-quality Tier 1 literacy instruction. 2. Model and support evidence-based instructional strategies that benefit students with and without dyslexia. 3. Support lesson planning, data analysis, and instructional decision-making aligned to district curriculum and literacy priorities. 4. Collaborate with academic coaches, administrators, and instructional teams to strengthen literacy practices school-wide. Professional Learning & Systems Leadership 5. Design and deliver ongoing professional development aligned to district literacy goals. 6. Support implementation fidelity of literacy programs and instructional resources. 7. Collaborate with district leaders to align literacy initiatives, coaching efforts, and professional learning. 8. Support onboarding and orientation for new teachers related to literacy and dyslexia-responsive practices. 9. Participate in school and district meetings, family engagement events, and community literacy initiatives. Additional Expectations 10. Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance 11. Maintains professional licensure and ongoing professional growth 12. Supports the district’s Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan 13. Performs other duties as assigned.
