RN Supervisor - (Monday-Friday)
JOB SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of your position is to provide direct nursing care to the residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by licensed practical nurses and nursing assistants.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrative Functions
Organize and assign all jobs to be done during a tour of duty so that the workload is evenly distributed among nursing personnel based on staff qualifications, the size of the facility, and its physical layout.
Periodically review department policies, procedures, and job descriptions and make recommendations for revisions.
Implement established policies and procedures.
Ensure that all nursing personnel assigned to you comply with the written policies and procedures established by this facility.
Meet with your assigned nursing staff and support personnel to plan your shift's appropriate services, programs, and activities.
Cooperate with other resident services when coordinating nursing services to ensure the resident’s care plans are followed.
Participate in developing, maintaining, and implementing the facility’s quality assurance program.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education
Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or graduate from an approved school of professional nursing.
Experience
A minimum of one year’s nursing experience required.
Supervisory experience with Nursing Assistants.
