B Shift Small Parcel - Puller/Packer
This is a job for a B Shift Small Parcel - Puller/Packer position with a company located in the Olive Branch, MS area.
Job Summary: Prepares and packages products for shipping, involving duties such as picking items from inventory, accurately weighing and labeling packages, and ensuring they are securely sealed and free from damage before shipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned. Securely pack products into boxes, containers or other packaging materials, ensuring they are protected from damage during transit. Apply correct labels, including shipping information and addresses, to packages. Weigh packages to ensure compliance with shipping regulations and determine costs. Inspect products and packaging for any defects or damages to maintain quality standards. Maintain accurate records of packages, including filling out shipping forms and logging relevant information. Work with and always display a team concept approach. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training. Ability to prioritize production requirements. Possess computer skills in spreadsheet (Excel) functions.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to complete basic math calculations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Good analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to feel, handle; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places.
