The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager leads environmental, health, and safety programs for our Hattiesburg manufacturing operations. This role ensures regulatory compliance, strengthens the facility's safety culture, and drives continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental performance.
The EHS Manager partners closely with Operations, Engineering, and Facilities to maintain safe and compliant manufacturing processes while developing and mentoring the site EHS team. This role also oversees campus security operations.
This is a high-impact leadership position responsible for guiding safety strategy across a large and complex manufacturing environment.
Specific Responsibilities
Lead all EHS programs across the Hattiesburg campus, driving a culture of safety ownership and continuous improvement at every level of the organization.
Provide EHS leadership, training, and operational support across the organization; partner closely with Engineering and Facilities on construction projects, equipment design reviews, and hazard assessments.
Implement safety-related capital projects, evaluate program effectiveness, and drive corrective actions based on data and industry best practices.
Coordinate Injury Prevention Plans (IPP) and mentor leadership through accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action development.
Conduct risk and hazard analyses; provide monthly safety reviews, targeted compliance audits, and performance reporting.
Lead EHS awareness programs, safety initiatives, and cross-functional safety teams; implement and maintain the Rehlko EHS Management System.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations; maintain required programs, training, records, and reporting systems.
Prepare and submit regulatory reports including EPA Tier II, SARA 313, RCRA Biennial, Title V, Mississippi DEQ, and OSHA logs/reports.
Maintain environmental records and centralized data repository; audit compliance practices and coordinate environmental response and documentation.
Implement environmental capital projects and ensure applicable product compliance requirements are upheld.
Supervise EHS Coordinators, Specialists, the on-site nurse, and the Lead Security Officer; oversee security operations for the Hattiesburg campus.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required in any field; professional certifications and experience are weighted more heavily than degree type.
Minimum 10 years of Environmental Health & Safety experience in manufacturing, heavy industry, or industrial production environments
Minimum five years' experience in a people leadership role within EHS.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams collaboratively, engage employees at all levels, and build safety culture from the shop floor up.
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements.

The Salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$143,950.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
