Job Purpose: East Mississippi Electric Power Association (EMEPA) is searching for a motivated Member Services Representative with an enthusiastic and friendly personality to join our team. As a Member Services Representative, you will be responsible for providing professional, courteous and efficient service to meet the needs of our members. This position performs a variety of member service functions related to a member's electric and/or fiber service. These functions include, but are not limited to processing member bill payments, processing new memberships and accounts, processing work/service orders, responding to member's inquiries and resolving issues while effectively communicating the Association's policies and procedures.

Work Location: 2128 Highway 39 North, Meridian, MS 39301.

Job Type: Hourly, Non-exempt, Full Time.

Hours: Normal work shift for this position is 8 am-5 pm Monday-Friday; however, the start time is subject to change depending on departmental needs.

Minimum Requirements: Education: A high school diploma/GED is required. Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of current and relevant customer service or cashier experience with direct public contact is required. An associate or bachelor's degree in business, or a related field, may be accepted as a substitute for the required work experience. Relevant experience is bank teller or other utility work (electric, cable, water, gas, etc.). Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Requires the operation of a motor vehicle to travel to and from work locations, when necessary.

Abilities and Skills: Remain professional and courteous with members. Create a positive and respectful environment among coworkers and members. Proficient communication and mathematical skills. Proficient computer skills and knowledge. Must be able to meet the physical demands and work environment as listed in the job description. Must be able to work irregular and long hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, when necessary. Must complete a pre-employment credit check, background check, physical, drug and alcohol screen, and E-Verification.
