POSITION SUMMARY:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides in office and remote monitoring of cardiac devices, evaluates device transmissions and interrogations, assess post-operative wounds, educates patients and families before and after implantation, and maintains comprehensive cardiac device records.  Ability to balance independent decision-making (using nursing knowledge and experience).  Provides oversight and leadership to Device Clinic service operations and staff.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

•    Graduation certificate from an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) school of nursing, required
•    Current MS state licensure, required
•    BLS/CPR certification, preferred
•    Basic knowledge of ECG interpretations, preferred
•    Basic knowledge of pacemaker functions, preferred
•    Basic knowledge of arrhythmias, preferred

•    Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
•    Ability to maintain composure when confronted with fast-paced and stressful situations/timelines
•    Ability and desire to learn new technologies
•    Must be timely and dependable
•    Must be able to multi-task, work independently and be very detail oriented
•    Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
•    Must be able to complete documentation accurately
•    Must be able to follow existing workflows

WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
