Superintendent Notice: Student Engineer Trainee
This job position is open for a Superintendent Notice: Student Engineer Trainee.
JOB OVERVIEW:
The Company is offering a Student Engineer Training (SET) Program; start date January 12, 2026
Be advised that the SET training is being done for future attrition. In some cases, you may not be set up as an engineer upon completion of the program and will return to ground service until the needs of service require additional engineers.
The actual number of engineers needed at these locations may change based on operating needs as determined by the transportation department.
The selection process is in accordance with the applicable labor agreements and the Carriers legal obligations.
Requirements to apply:
Employee with CPKC for a minimum of 1 year
A proven safety record
No discipline for major rule violations in the past 12 months
No de-certifiable event in the past 24 months
Must not have previously been enrolled in SET and failed to successfully complete the program
Employees accepting the Engineer Training Program for service at a location other than their place of residence are NOT eligible for a moving allowance of any kind.
Bids must be received by 10:00 01/05/2026
