This position is for an Attorney II General Counsel with an agency location Statewide.

Summary: Second-level Attorney responsible for handling legal matters including cases concerning fraud, federal or state regulations, and state leases and contracts; implementing state procedures; and may direct the work of legal support personnel. The work may include analyzing and interpreting state, federal and agency regulations; preparing documents and instruments for administrative and executive decisions and actions; representing the state or agencies in court or any tribunal; performing legal research and preparing legal briefs.

Requires membership in the Mississippi State Bar Association.
