Acara Solutions is seeking a hands-on General Manager / Business Development leader for a trucking and transportation business. This role is responsible for managing daily operations, financial performance, and strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will oversee fleet operations, ensure DOT and MSHA compliance, drive new business, and lead all operational functions to maximize efficiency and profitability.

Compensation:
Base Salary: $130K-$140K (DOE)
Performance Bonuses: Quarterly operating bonuses tied to financial targets
Fleet Growth Incentive: $2,500 for every 10% increase in profitable fleet units beyond 40
New Business Incentive: 1% of gross revenue from new accounts

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all operational functions, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency in trucking operations
Develop and execute business growth strategies, identifying and securing new client opportunities
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance to achieve profitability goals
Supervise, train, and evaluate staff to maintain high performance standards
Ensure compliance with DOT and MSHA regulations and company policies
Build and maintain strong client, vendor, and partner relationships
Prepare and present performance reports to ownership and stakeholders

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in General Management related to trucking/transportation

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Proven track record in fleet operations, driver management, and transportation logistics
Strong leadership and operational oversight skills, including managing profitable fleets and driving business growth
Strong leadership, organizational, and financial management skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Proven ability to grow revenue and improve operational efficiency
