HCV Program Voucher Manager

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of college with two years' experience in housing management, social services or other related field, or equivalent education and experience. Knowledge of Social Security and public assistant programs; awareness of the availability of referral services; ability to counsel, and plan, and to initiate and carry out a course of action; and the ability to communicate (both verbally and in writing) with residents and other persons in a clear, courteous, and effective manner are essential attributes. Must be able to operate office equipment (calculator, copier, telephone). Requires computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel, must be able to navigate the Internet and use HUD webites for PIC, EIV, and MCS Visual. Must have  physical ability to inspect housing and to climb stairs. Be able to travel, operate a motor vehicle, and meet Housing Authority driver approval standards. Must possess privately owned vehicle and liability insurance. Loss of vehicle operator license, automobile liability insurance, or insurability by employer, will result in employee not being able to perform the duties of this position.

The manager must also obtain HCV rent calculation certification within twelve (12) months from the date of becoming an HCV Program Voucher Manager, unless a waiver is granted by the Executive Director or the Assistant Executive Director.
