Raytheon is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to support the Surveillance portfolio of factories in Forest, MS, McKinney, TX, and several locations in California to maximize throughput, improve efficiency, and deliver increasing value to the customer. Industrial Engineers are responsible for Labor Performance Analyses, Process and Value Stream Mapping, Line Balancing, Capacity Planning, Manpower Planning, Factory Layouts, Factory Simulations, Strategic Planning, Project Management, Continuous Improvement, and more. What You Will Do
Model factory operations by generating process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show production processes, the movement of material, the exchange of information, and key performance indicators
Source data to feed factory models and perform necessary vetting and validation of the source data to confirm model accuracy
Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints
Interact, train, and coach factory industrial engineers on proper ways to use, interpret, and analyze models
Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce undesirable effects, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals
Influence factory roadmaps and investment strategies by drafting infrastructure improvement and expansion proposals, and planning the integration of new products, technologies, and equipment that create a competitive advantage
Work with cross-functional teams to execute projects that address obsolescence, improve factory performance, and promote growth
Support new production contract/new product proposals and new product integration efforts
Improve factory safety and work cell ergonomics

Qualifications You Must Have
Experience/Education with simulation modeling and capacity analysis tools/methods
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering, or similar engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience or 3 years of relevant experience with a master’s degree in a similar discipline
