Position Description:(primary functions)
Supervises personnel and the daily activities of the Business Office and the Bookstore. Maintains student accounts on a daily basis as it applies to registration, financial aid, schedule changes, bookstore charges, student grants/scholarships, refunds and other student account related matters.
Minimum Requirements:
Accounting or Associated Business Degree
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor/supervise Business Office and Bookstore personnel and functions related to Staff Accountant, Payroll, Accounts Payable, and the Bookstore Manager.
Provide input and assist in the planning, organizing, and implementation of office policy and procedure revisions.
Maintain/prepare/process/amend/review documented students’ electronic files for institutional charges, refunds, grants, and adjustments to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory policies and departmental procedures.
Assist with student registration, billing inquires, and payment plans.
Effectively communicate with Financial Aid, Student Engagement, Admissions, and other offices concerning students’ accounts as deemed necessary.
Approve/review purchasing card requisitions, reconciliations, balances and purchasing power. Provide statements to appropriate personnel.
Review/process accounts payable check dockets.
Provide/maintain procurement documentation to the Inventory Officer to safeguard and track assets.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
