Sales and Marketing

This Exempt Position is for Sales and Marketing with a company in Oxford, MS. Reports To: Executive Director.


Summary: The Sales and Marketing Director is responsible for achieving and maintaining full occupancy of the community through execution of the Sales and Marketing Plan.

Promotes workplace safety through safe behaviors and by identifying potential risks, addressing them whenever possible and communicating those risks to appropriate individuals and/or supervisor. Follows all Sagora guidelines outlining standards of personal appearance, attendance and punctuality.


Essential Functions: With direction from the corporate office, develop and execute the overall Sales and Marketing Plan for the community, including direct sales contact and community awareness. Give sales presentations to potential residents in the community and in private homes. Take deposits and facilitate signing of the waiting list agreement, reservation agreement, and/or rental agreement. Property of Sagora Senior Living Cannot be duplicated without written permission. Record all sales and marketing traffic and activity occurring inside and outside of the community, according to company policy, and submit regular sales and marketing reports to the Executive Director and Home Office staff. Maximize the use of Move-in to track inquiries and to designate lead potential. Qualify prospective residents physically, socially, emotionally, and economically according to company policy. Introduce depositors to the Executive Director and facilitate the development of this relationship. Build relationships within the community and develop a database of prospective residents and community contacts. Write and distribute the community newsletter and bulletin. Work with the community’s management team and corporate office to develop and coordinate large activities each year for residents and prospective residents. Coordinate community advertising and public relations with the Marketing Manager at corporate office. Operate department within budgetary guidelines. Work with the Executive Director to make recommendations for capital expenditures. Complete scheduled tours including those on weekends and/or after business hours. All other duties as assigned or requested.


 


Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: College degree in Marketing or related field preferred. Prior experience with Move-In preferred. Knowledge of sales and marketing to include principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products and/or services. Experience to include marketing strategy tactics, sales techniques, and sales systems. Consultative selling skills preferred. Knowledge and understanding of the senior market and various senior living products. Advanced computer and Microsoft Office experience and experience with Lead management software. Ability to work will under stress, complete assignments accurately, work independently and manage time effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate effectively with residents, families, associates, and vendors. Must exhibit high degree of initiative and creativity, good judgment, and professional ethics. Must be able to take risks and be able to self-initiate and take charge of the multi-faceted strategies that are developed. Must have strong management skills to work effectively as a team with operations partners and other functional areas. Ability to work weekend, evening or night if needed to ensure job requirements are met. Individuals must have or be able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License where necessary and meet company driving standards. Complete company and state required background check prior to first day.
