Pesticide Cost Estimator
Meet with prospective clients to discuss the scope and scale of the herbicide application projects. Travel to job sites to gather information on materials, labor, and other factors. Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work. Collaborate with Field Project Managers and Pesticide Handler Supervisors to accurately quote clients for services needed. Identify and quantify all cost factors involved in the project. Prepare bids and proposals for presentation to clients. Attend pre-bid meetings to determine needs of projects. Assist with the surveying of right of ways. Assess cost effectiveness of herbicides products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops. Review material and labor requirements to decide whether more cost-effective to produce or purchase components. Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future products.
Will supervise: 37-3012.00: Pesticide Handlers, Sprayers, and Applicators, Vegetation.
Requires 24 months of experience in vegetation management including pesticide application.
State Issued Pesticide Applicator License required or the ability to obtain one.
