Join the Ecolab / SSDC sales team as a Sales Development Manager.

This outside sales opportunity offers comprehensive chemical products and solutions to meet the needs of customers across the foodservice distribution industry. You will maintain and grow a minimum 3-8 million-dollar book of business while managing comprehensive distributor & customer relationships. Within the assigned distributor responsibilities, you will support, train, execute sales and coordinate customer installations & service. You will be responsible for driving sales by developing strategic plans in partnership with the distributor partner with geography that may span 3-8 states. You will serve as the face of SSDC / Ecolab, providing recommendations on advanced cleaning and sanitation processes, solutions and programs that drive a positive guest experience and create cleaner, safer, and healthier environments for end user customers.

What You Will Do:

Achieve distributor portfolio growth target, which includes growing sales to meet defined budgets, profitability and controlling expenses

Build rapport and cultivate relationships with key distributor representatives and customers

Learn assigned distributor operations, understand challenges and customize solutions to meet their needs and achieve revenue goals

Develop and execute business & marketing plans for assigned distributors

Leverage knowledge of SSDC / Ecolab products and offerings to deliver effective proposals that illustrate comprehensive customer and distributor solutions

You will help in leading the integration, coordination and monitoring of inter-divisional field sales, service and functional support teams including, but not limited to marketing, contract & pricing, asset management, legal, technical and R&D

Identify and secure new business by participation in sales calls, presentations and representation at local, regional & national trade shows & conferences

Conduct annual Executive Business Reviews with leadership at assigned distributors

Lead training programs to introduce new products, enhance distributor sales and develop product knowledge for distributor sales representatives

Position Details:

This position is based in Jackson, MS / Birmingham, AL / Mobile, AL

Territory covers a seven state territory

75% overnight travel required

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

Demonstrated successful performance in B2B sales with a minimum of 5 years of outside sales or equivalent Ecolab experience

Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

Preferred Qualifications:

Business to Business sales experience

Ability to lead cross divisional teams

Proven track record of achieving sales commitments

Demonstrated experience in successfully closing major deals with new corporate accounts

Seasoned Negotiator

Strong interpersonal, communications and listening skills

Results oriented and entrepreneurial with solid business instincts

Annual or Hourly Compensation RangeThe total Compensation range for this position is $82,000-$123,000 which includes base pay and target incentive based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
