This position is for a QA/QC Manager on-site for an oil and gas client in the Vicksburg, MS area.

Summary: The QA/QC manager is responsible for auditing the project specific QA/QC plan for the civil and mechanical scopes. QA/QC Manager will ensure all requirements for field installation, testing, and final document turnover are being met.

Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor contractor to ensure compliance with the quality plan. Makes significant and binding decisions for the client (e.g., purchasing equipment, altering schedules, rejecting work, etc.). Investigates and resolves matters of significance on behalf of management. Ensure interaction between contractor and QA/QC takes place. Quality Control Monitor will ensure contractor responds to quality issues and action items. Ensure as-built drawings are prepared by contractor. Must interpret policies for the client where decision becomes binding on the client. Monitor and ensure contractors material management plan is implemented. May commit the client in matters of significant financial impact. QA/QC Manager participates in contractor safety meetings. Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.

Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field. 10+ years’ Quality Control experience in Civil, Concrete, Structural Steel, and Mechanical. Candidates should have both civil and mechanical experience. Working Knowledge of Codes and Standards such as ASME B 31.3, API, ACI, and AWS. Experience reviewing construction drawing interpretation of Client Specifications. High School diploma. Technical Coursework in Quality Control subject matter. Candidates must be able to commute to the Vicksburg, MS area on a daily basis, or be willing to temporarily relocate during the work-week for the life-cycle of the contract.
