CARES Animal Shelter is seeking a Office/Staff manager for its nonprofit animal shelter. This person will also be responsible for overseeing a team of 6-8 animal caretakers as well as assisting the public both via phone and in-person. This position will require office duties, so we are looking for someone organized and friendly. This person MUST LIKE ANIMALS as he/she will assist our medical team intake new animals each day. Schedule is mostly Monday-Friday, with an occasional weekend. Must feel comfortable managing people in a kind and professional way. Must be able to follow specific instructions and be punctual, too. There is occasional need for picking up donated supplies requiring you to bend, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs. You should be able to work in a fast-paced, sometimes hectic environment and have a strong commitment to animal welfare. Positive attitude and strong work ethic is a MUST.
