The University of Southern Mississippi is currently accepting applications for the position of Adjunct Faculty, School of Management.
Special Instructions to Applicants: Applicants for Adjunct Faculty will be accepted on an ongoing basis and will be reviewed as needed. Applicants should indicate which campus or teaching sites they are willing to accept these interim assignments at in their cover letter.
Job Summary: Adjunct faculty members facilitate students' achievement of course objectives and prepares students to master skill sets to move forward throughout the program. Adjunct faculty members may be needed in all areas of management, including but not limited to, entrepreneurship, human resources management, international management, operations management, organizational behavior, and strategic management.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Adhere to class schedules as posted; Communicate course requirements to students; Be available to students for support and course advising including exams, required remediation, and summative evaluations; Collaborate with other faculty, as well as the Director, to plan, implement, and evaluate each course offering taught to maintain quality and effectiveness; Follow the policies and procedures of the School of Management, the College of Business and Economic Development and the University of Southern Mississippi; Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: MS, MBA, or equivalent. At least 18 graduate hours in management.
Preferred Qualifications: Documented success in teaching in a university setting, and/or related industry experience.
