This position is for an RN II – Robot Coordinator – Surgical Suite – FT with a company in Jackson, MS.
Duties and Responsibilities: Provides expert patient care, supervises and acts as a clinical resource to staff. Assists staff in the development, implementation and evaluation of care and treatment of patients in assigned area(s). Maintains quality standards, delegates patient care activities as appropriate. Functions as lead RN for robotic cases. Serves as lead nurse for robotics team, supervising, mentoring, training, educating and evaluating staff. Organizes the supplies, equipment and instrumentation necessary to perform surgical robotic cases. Organizes the care of the surgical suite and robotic equipment therein to ensure sterility and operational ability of all equipment Collaborates with Material Management and Sterile Processing to ensure availability of needed supplies and instrumentation Reviews and evaluates current practice utilizing best practice standards and benchmarks Creates, reviews and maintains preference cards for all robotic surgeons Manages new product requests providing feedback to leadership related to required/requested capital purchases. Drives efficient scheduling of robotic surgical cases, as well as appropriate case turnover times Manages vendor relationships for robotics needs: scheduling for surgical support Participates in Perioperative Services Committee as needed Participates in Robotics Committee THE DUTIES LISTED ARE GENERAL IN NATURE AND ARE EXAMPLES OF THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES PERFORMED AND ARE NOT MEANT TO BE CONSTRUED AS EXCLUSIVE OR ALL-INCLUSIVE. Education & Experience: Associate's degree in nursing/diploma plus three (3) years experience working in robotic surgical cases. certifications, licenses or registration required: valid rn license. acls within ninety 90 days of hire. knowledge, skills & abilities knowledge of staff nursing care procedures and protocols. verbal and written communication skills. interpersonal skills. knowledge and understanding of computer systems, tools and programs. ability to work in a team environment.
