This Position is for a Systems Engineer Electrical with a work location in Bay Saint Louis, MS.
Seeking active thought leaders in new sensor engineering to apply to the Systems Engineer position. Conceptualizing, designing, building, integrating, testing, deploying and supporting next generation airborne remote sensing systems will be just a few key responsibilities the Systems Engineer will have.
Evaluates COTS and custom electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research testing programs
Design for any custom circuitry, as needed
Develops integration processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components in both team and independent environments
Ensure that between technical staff and clients, that quality deliverables and research objectives are on schedule and within budget
Develop, manage, and control electrical design including configuration management, meeting various regulatory requirements i.e. ANSI, MILSPEC, FAA, etc. as needed
Have a foundational understanding of airborne, surface and seafloor, elevation collection technologies
Maintain system level understanding of the operational system as a whole
Have an understanding of embedded software technologies and programming abilities (micro-controllers in Arduino, PSOC syntax, C++, Eclipse IDE, etc.)
Ability to read schematics
Knowledge of and ability to use oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, network analyzer, noise figure meters and light meters
5+ years of experience with building electrical systems with sensitive and controlled information protection
Strong people management, communication skills, and should possess the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and in a team
Willingness to travel, sometimes on short notice
